    Teen Advisory Board - Young People Making A Difference!

After Hurricanes Rita and Katrina the young people of the Bermuda Youth Library's Teen Advisory Board wanted to do something to help. They organized a second-hand book sale and asked the public to donate some of the ir nearly new used books. The response from the community was so overwhelming that the TAB had to have a second sale date. Even though many of the books were sold for 50 cents to $3.00, the Board was able to raise $500.00 for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System. This School system had to open schools to accommodate many children who had been displaced by the hurricanes. The funds will be used to purchase books for teens in the school library.
